"An arrow fired from this bow will get you exactly what you need. It always finds its target..."

The Enchanted Bow is a magical item featured on ABC's Once Upon a Time. It first appears in the sixteenth episode of the first season.

Before First CurseEdit

A thief, who goes by the name Robin Hood, breaks into Rumplestiltskin's castle to steal a magic wand to heal a woman, Marian, who he loves. When Rumplestiltskin appears to stop him, the thief threatens to shoot the Dark One, telling him that the bow is enchanted, and that the arrow always hits its objective. As Rumplestiltskin does not surrender, Robin Hood fires the arrow, which hits him in the chest. Because the Dark One is immortal, the arrow has no effect on him. Rumplestiltskin takes the arrow out and makes the thief a prisoner in a dungeon and tortures him viciously. Later, after Belle, Rumplestiltskin's new maid, set the thief free, the Dark One takes the bow and forces her to accompany him on the hunt to kill Robin Hood. When they finally meet the thief, Rumplestiltskin sees Robin Hood curing a sick and pregnant Marian with the use of the wand while Belle begs him not to kill him. Although he later denies it, Rumplestiltskin decides to leave Robin Hood alone and purposely had the fired arrow miss hitting him. ("Lacey")

Becoming bitter and vengeful due to a potion, Snow White plans to kill the Queen, and asks Rumplestiltskin how to do it. He gives her the enchanted bow and arrow that "always hits its mark" and shows her the best location on the map to shoot the Queen. When Snow White inquires about payment, Rumplestiltskin says that he does not want anything and is simply invested in her future. As Snow White sets up a place from which to fire the arrow at the Queen and tests out the bow, Prince Charming sneaks up behind her. He embraces and kisses her; however, true love's kiss has no effect since she does not feel the same about him. Snow White finds him to be a nuisance, so she knocks him out and ties him to a tree. Jiminy chews through Prince Charming's binds and suggests since he cannot make Snow White remember him, perhaps he should help her remember who she is. As the Queen travels down the road, Snow White draws back her bow ready to fire. In that moment, Prince Charming jumps in front of the arrow, and he takes the blow of the injury meant for the Queen. Snow White is baffled why he would do such a thing, and he declares it is because he loves her. Surprised, her expression softens and she leans in to kiss him, which breaks the potion's effects on herself. ("Heart of Darkness")
