This section lists characters visiting or residing in Victorian England.


Main article: Alice

Alice débuts in the first episode and is portrayed by Sophie Lowe. As a young girl, Alice traveled and had adventures in Wonderland, but upon returning home, her father suspects she has gone insane from her tales of tea parties and talking animals. In her determination to prove to him Wonderland is real, she journeys there once more at an older age and captures the White Rabbit as proof. While eluding capture from the Queen's guards, she meets, by chance, a genie named Cyrus. The two fall deeply in love, but are separated by his untimely death at the hands of the Red Queen. Devastated, Alice returns home in an inconsolable state. Her father, unable to help, sends Alice to an asylum where she is deemed mentally ill. Wishing to forget Wonderland and Cyrus, she accepts a medical procedure to wipe out the memories. Before it can be carried out, the Knave of Hearts persuades her to come back to Wonderland with the shocking claim Cyrus is alive. Thus, she, Knave and the White Rabbit journeyed back to find him. Dr. LydgateEdit

Dr. Lydgate débuts in the first episode and is portrayed by Jonny Coyne. As one of the doctors at Bethlem Asylum, he interviews a sickly girl, Alice, over her previous claims of travelling to another world and falling in love with a genie. Though she makes weak admissions to those recollections as lies, Dr. Lydgate does not believe it because Alice still calls out for her lost love in her sleep. Instead, he offers her a medical solution that will take away all the pain. After she gives her consent to the procedure, Dr. Lydgate begins making preparations for it and encounters Alice in the hallway as she is escaping. Hastily, he tries to stop her from going, but is stunned into silence upon seeing a talking rabbit. ("Down the Rabbit Hole")

Edwin débuts in the first episode and is portrayed by Shaun Smyth. After his daughter, Alice, goes missing for a long period of time, her father, Edwin, begins to suspect she is dead. To his shock, Alice returns home with whimsical recollections of being in a place called Wonderland. With consultation from a doctor, he has no doubts she is having delusions. At an older age, Alice disappears again and is found by him in a disheveled and broken state. Believing she has truly gone insane, he institutionalizes her at an asylum. ("Down the Rabbit Hole")

Jafar débuts in the first episode and is portrayed by Naveen Andrews. He travels to Victorian England with the help of the White Rabbit to kidnap Edwin to Wonderland. ("Who's Alice", "Bad Blood")

Knave of HeartsEdit

Main article: Will Scarlet (Storybrooke)

Will Scarlet, also known as the Knave of Hearts, débuts in the first episode and is portrayed by Michael Socha. He is a former resident of Wonderland and has since escaped from the world where he is wanted for many terrible crimes. He lived under the Dark Curse's effects in Storybrooke until it is broken and has a comfortable life in town until the White Rabbit sends him to rescue Alice from an asylum after receiving news that her lost love, Cyrus, is alive. Mrs. RabbitEdit

Mrs. Rabbit débuts in the eighth episode and is voiced by Whoopi Goldberg.

Red QueenEdit

The Red Queen, also known as Anastasia, débuts in the first episode and is portrayed by Emma Rigby.

Sarah débuts in the sixth episode and is portrayed by Heather Doerksen. She is Edwin's wife, who he married years after his first wife passed away and his only daughter, Alice, vanished. Sarah and Edwin have a daughter, Millie. ("Who's Alice")

Taj débuts in the tenth episode and is portrayed by Raza Jaffrey.

The White RabbitEdit

The White Rabbit débuts in the first episode and is voiced by John Lithgow. When threatened by the Red Queen, he is forced to draw Alice back to Wonderland with claims Cyrus is alive and waiting for her at the Mad Hatter's house. Though the White Rabbit gives off the pretense of being an ally to Alice and Knave, the White Rabbit's own life is dependent on his continued assistance to the Red Queen. ("Down the Rabbit Hole")
